As part of our Summer TheatreWorks, and in partnership with Old Town Winchester, Selah Theatre Project is proud to present FOOLS by Neil Simon on July 28 & 29 at The Taylor Pavilion. Both performances are at 7PM. Theatre at The Taylor Pavilion started during the Pandemic with our first production being Barefoot in the Park. Directed by Marina Levi, an evening filled with comedy about Leon Tolchinsky is ecstatic. He’s landed a terrific teaching job in an idyllic Russian hamlet. When he arrives, he finds people sweeping dust from the stoops back into their houses and people milking upside down to get more cream. The town has been cursed with Chronic Stupidity for two hundred years, and Leon’s job is to break the curse. No one tells him that if he stays over twenty-four hours and fails to break the curse, he too becomes stupid. But he has fallen in love with a girl so stupid, she has only recently learned how to sit down. The hilarious cast is a blend of teen, young adult, and adult community actors from varies parts of the Shenandoah Valley. Selah Theatre’s production cast includes: Pam Foster, Josh Horn, DJ Levi, Scott David Ludwig, Kenny May, Maddie Peshoff, Will Speakman, Paige Ulevich, Oliver Varela, and Desirae Zentz. FOOLS will be presented on July 28 & 29 at 7pm. Remember to bring your chairs or blankets. Tickets are Pay-What-You-Can, with a minimum ask of $5. RSVP online or purchase at The Taylor Pavilion on the day of the event.
