Join the French & Indian War Foundation and participate in a living history event, the re-enactment of the 1758 election of 26 yr. old Col. George Washington to his first political office, that of Burgess from Frederick County to the House of Burgesses of the Colony of Virginia.
The event will be held at the site of the historic 1758 election where you will have the opportunity to meet Col. James Wood, mentor to young George and founder of Winchester. You might even be able to meet George himself!
