Loudoun Street Mile

One Mile Road Race on the Loudoun Street in Historic Old Town Winchester, Virginia on Memorial Day. This is the 32nd annual event and will again serve as the RRCA Virginia State Championship race. There will be prize money to the top 5 runners and first masters (equal for men and women): 1st – $500, 2nd – $250, 3rd-$150, 4th – $100, 5th – $75; 1st Masters (40+) – $75.

NEW for 2019: we are moving the 12-14 year age group into the Kids’ races (boys and girls). The men’s and women’s races will be for ages 15 & up.

Also NEW for 2019: we have been selected to host the Collegiate Road Mile National Championships with separate prize money for the top 3 collegians. Essentially this is open to anyone who has taken at least one college class (even on-line) in the first half of 2019. BUT verify eligibility through Collegiate Running Association! We are currently planning to have prize money for the top 3 — $500 for first, $250 for second and $100 for third. Double-dipping with open prize money WILL be allowed.

Anyone interested in a comp-entry can email race director Mark Stickley at mark@runnersretreat.com There will be a limited number of entries comp’d but minimum requirements are sub-4:15 for men and sub 4:55 for women.

Race packets can be picked up at Runners’ Retreat on the Old Town Mall in Winchester any time in the week prior to the race or on race day morning.
