Rockin’ Independence Eve is returning to Old Town Winchester in 2017 on July 3rd! More details are coming soon, but check out last year’s details below for more info.

Come enjoy Rockin’ Independence Eve, an All-American event in Old Town Winchester Sunday, July 3 from 12pm to 10:00pm. Celebrate our nation’s independence at a free, family- oriented event that’s fun for all ages.

Live music at the Taylor Pavilion begins at 12pm with the Dixie Rhythm who will be performing patriotic songs. Cabin Creek, featuring certified organic and gluten free modern folk music, will take the stage at 2pm. Richmond-based Reckless Island performs at 4:30pm, and the Navy Country Current band play starting at 7:30pm.  A beer and wine garden, the Snow White Grill Hamburger Eating Contest, water pong and cornhole will also take place.

Numerous kids’ activities will be located throughout the Loudoun Street Mall on the Civil War Court House lawn.

The evening will be capped off with an impressive fireworks show made possible through a matching donation by NAPA Auto Parts. The fireworks will be launched near the Mount Hebron Cemetery and coordinated by the Parks and Recreation Department. The fireworks will be viewable from several different locations throughout Old Town Winchester, but the best place to view the fireworks show will be from North Kent Street (no viewing allowed from the roof of the Autoparks).
