Celebrate our nation’s independence a day early at Rockin’ Independence Eve, a free, family-oriented event that’s fun for all ages. This All-American event in Old Town Winchester is held on July 3rd and attracts thousands of people each year.
Enjoy a free concert by the Country Current at the Taylor Pavilion between the Loudoun Street Mall and the Braddock Autopark. This band is the U.S. Navy’s premier country-bluegrass ensemble and performs a blend of modern country music and cutting-edge bluegrass. Also, enjoy the beer and wine garden that benefits the SPCA and listen to the amazing harmonies of a barbershop quartet.
Numerous kids’ activities will be located throughout the Loudoun Street Mall, primarily near the splash pad. There will be fun for the young and young at heart all along the Loudoun Street Mall!
Don’t worry about bring chairs, we provide chairs for this event!
No celebration of our nation’s independence would be complete without the booming explosions of a colorful fireworks show. The fireworks begin at approximately 9:15 p.m. For best visibility, watch the show on North Kent Street between Piccadilly and Boscawen Streets. Fireworks are coordinated by Winchester Parks and Recreation and the Winchester Fire and Rescue Department. Spectators are not permitted on the parking garage roofs.
