– Handley Regional Library System, in partnership with the Virginia Center for Literary Arts (VCLA) , features their next author talk on Saturday, February 2 at 2PM at Handley Library in Winchester. The author talk will feature Karen E. Bender, author of The New Order, and Robert Siegel, author of Criminals. Bender, a finalist for the National Book Award, and Siegel, author of several acclaimed works, will read excerpts from their latest books and discuss navigating the ever-changing contemporary literary landscape. VCLA’s Founding Director Sean Murphy will join the authors to discuss all aspects of their experiences writing critically acclaimed works, as well as the challenges and rewards of balancing marriage and art. Signed books will be available for purchase through the Winchester Book Gallery. The program is free and open the public and is sponsored by the Friends of the Handley Library.
