We are happy to announce another great summer season of second Saturday Classic Movie Nights screened by Magic Lantern Theater, Winchester’s classic film experts since 2001.
The 2020 date for Classic Movie Night is set for August 8th. (Note: The June and July screenings have been cancelled.) The film selections for each night are listed below.
Moviegoers are encouraged to bring seat cushions, blankets or chairs and bring a picnic or take-out dinner from one of the many restaurants in Old Town Winchester. This is the perfect event to cuddle up with someone special and enjoy an old-fashioned dinner and movie night.
August 8 – Coal Miner’s Daughter (1980) – A biography that tells the story of the legendary rise of country singer, Loretta Lynn, from poverty-stricken beginnings in Kentucky to worldwide superstardom – and her close friendship with Winchester’s Patsy Cline. Stars Sissy Spacek and Tommy Lee Jones. Rated PG, 125 m.
