Winchester, VA (February 19, 2019) – Handley Regional Library System announces author Tracy White will be at Handley Library on March 1, 2019 to sign recent copies of her book, A Gangster’s Best Friend. Patrons can meet her from 2PM-3:30PM.
White explains, “I am a local author from Manhattan, New York currently residing in Winchester, Va. I am contracted to Diamante Publications publishing company located in Atlanta Georgia. The title of my book is A Gangster’s Bestfriend. A story based on true events taken place in Harrisburg, PA. I began writing in 2001 at the age of fourteen. However I did not publish my first novel until 2014. In between the years of 2001 and 2007 I met my favorite author Jm Bennamin along with Kiki Swinson. Meeting them and networking with other authors and writers inspired me to start writing poetry. My poems turned into short stories. From there, I was encouraged by my mom Melissa St. Julian and other friends to publish my first book. November of 2014, NBC allowed me to be a guest on the news for the release of my book of poems. During that time I also did multiple radio interviews in different cities. I am now thirty one years old working on my fourth novel. And proud to say this will be my third signing in the surrounding area. I am very excited to meet and network with new people. I have gotten a ton of support from the Handley Library. I look forward to Winchester being a foundation for anyone with dreams and goals.”
