Friday, June 19th:

Friday Night Live: Unwind and enjoy all Old Town Winchester has to offer at Friday Night Live!  Happening on the third Friday of every month during the summer, Friday Night Live is the perfect opportunity to meet up with friends, shop, dine and enjoy some great live music! The Friday Night Live series will be hosted at the newly renovated Taylor Pavilion, located behind the Taylor Smokehouse. The venue provides amphitheater style seating in a rustic natural setting that provides a humble environment to enjoy good friends, music, and food. Without a bad seat in the house this is a great way to discover great new music while enjoying all that Old Town has to offer.

Historical Summertime Treasure/Scavenger Hunt: Self-guided historical treasure/scavenger hunts for the whole family. Purchase your tour map with clues at the Old Town General Store (106 S. Loudoun Street) on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Daniel Morgan, George Washington, and James Wood left gold and silver coins throughout Old Town Winchester. Visit Old Town locations to find the gold and silver coins and collect your treats and treasures (one treat per location, per tour map). Turn in your tour map when you’re done and receive a prize! Also, enter to win free ghost tour tickets. New tours available the first Saturday of each month. Tours for ages 12 and under are $9.99. Tours for ages 13 and up are $12.50.  Family 4-pack of tour maps is $29.99.

Fleming, Fleming & Peterson LIVE in The Half Note Lounge: An acoustic jukebox of hits from the 60’s thru today at the George Washington Hotel’s Half Note Lounge from 8pm to 10pm.

The Pietasters w/ Daycare Swindlers: Mixing ’60s R&B and punk into their distinctive sound legendary DC ska/soul masters The Pietasters allow one to either kick up their heels, or relax and sway to their more mellow tunes. Either way, this band knows how to have a good time! Ska-punk outfit the Daycare Swindlers was formed on the campus of George Mason University in 1994. Over the years they have shared the stage with the Supersuckers, Spider Stacey (of The Pogues), Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Down By Law, Toxic Narcotic, The Unseen, Two Man Advantage, and many other great ska/punk/hardcore bands. Doors at 7pm, Show at 8pm –

Saturday, June 20th:

Old Town Farmers Market: The City of Winchester’s Old Town Farmers Market will run Saturdays from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m., May 16 through October 31. There will be 13 regular vendors on a weekly basis and three vendors who will attend on a rotating basis. The vendors will offer a wide variety of items for sale including in-season fruits, vegetables, artisan breads, cookies, cheese, grass fed beef, gluten free bread, cured meats, jam, eggs, honey and many other items (produce and items for sale may vary each week). All items are grown or produced within a 60-mile radius of Winchester. This week’s musical guest will be The Dilettantes. Trudy and Jeff Roth (The Dilettantes) are an acoustic duo from Charles Town. Their choice in music is an eclectic mix of folk, pop, and rock-and-roll, including the songs of Joni Mitchell, John Prine, Linda Ronstadt, The Beatles, Dylan, and many more, with a handful of originals thrown in.

Historical Cemetery Tours: Come join us as we take you on a journey through the past at two historical cemeteries tucked away in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. The tours begin at Winchester National Cemetery and continue at Stonewall Cemetery. You have the option of touring one or both cemeteries. $8.00 per person for one tour, $15.00 for both tours. Book Reading: Sean Murphy – Not to Mention a Nice Life: The Winchester Book Gallery will host a book reading of author Sean Murphy’s “Not to Mention a Nice Life” from 4pm to 6pm.

Jack Poster LIVE in The Half Note Lounge: Unique vocalist, playing an eclectic mix of blues, jazz and classic rock at the George Washington Hotel’s Half Note Lounge from 8pm to 10pm.

Haunted Pub Crawl: Ghost Tours Old Town Winchester Virginia presents a Haunted Pub Crawl every Wednesday and Saturday night. Visit local haunts including 147 North, V2, The Half Note Lounge, Brewbaker’s, The Cajun Experience, Cork Street Tavern, and the Bright Box Theater. Taylor Pavilion Concert: Come out and enjoy a nice Sunday afternoon in Old Town Winchester presented by United Bank. Join us on the third Sunday in June, July, August, and September at the newly renovated Taylor Pavilion for a free concert that will entertain the whole family. This year’s concerts will feature an array of genres from jazz to bluegrass. The Sunday concert gives families the opportunity to stop for lunch at one of Old Town’s fine restaurants and enjoy an afternoon full of music!
