The Family Movie Night Series is back! Each Thursday a family-friendly film is shown on a gigantic movie screen on the lawn of the 1840 Frederick Country Courthouse. The series is a quintessential summertime tradition in Old Town Winchester offering a great opportunity for families to enjoy some time together under the stars.
The season kicks off this Thursday, June 18th at approximately 8:30pm with “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day“.
Movie goers are encouraged to come downtown early to have dinner at one of Old Town Winchester’s fantastic restaurants, check out the unique shops or just take a walk to see the beautiful Loudoun Street Mall. Popcorn and other food vendors will be available.
Films are shown on Thursday nights beginning at dusk, around 8:30-9:00 pm. People start to claim their spots on the lawn as early as 7:00pm. Movies play except in extreme weather and there are no rain days.
Plot Summary from IMDb.com: Alexander’s day begins with gum stuck in his hair, followed by more calamities.
