Winchester Musica Viva Concert: The final concerts of the 2014-2015 season will create a rich tapestry of choral music, woven primarily from the work of 20th-21st century composers. This tapestry is designed around the ancient Greek concepts of the four temperaments: the sanguine, the choleric, the phlegmatic and the melancholic, which correspond roughly to the four elements: fire, air, water and earth. There will be plenty of music to celebrate this most amazing part of the created universe: the human being. The concert will include works by a wide variety of composers, including Morten Lauridsen, Eric Whitacre, Carly Simon, Ysaye Barnwell, Matthew Harris, Rossini, and Brahms – plus several more.  Come experience a remarkable feast of music!
