A taste of Germany is coming to Winchester with the OctoBeer Fest. The celebration of German heritage will take place on Friday, October 14th and Saturday, October 15th. Attendees will have the opportunity to sample German-inspired food, beer and wine while experiencing fantastic entertainment.
Everyone is invited to compete in the Best Dressed Lederhosen and Dirndl Contest on Saturday at 4:30 pm. The winner receives an overnight stay at the Prestigious Bavarian Inn in Shepherdstown, West Virginia.
Two new high-energy bands will be featured this year for a pop/rock theme. Bavarski will perform Friday night, playing top 10 hits and fun upbeat rockin’ Oktoberfest party music. Saturday is the Continental’s Band with a wide repertoire specializing in different ethnic styles of polka and waltz. The Alt Washingtonia Dance Troupe will bring OcKtoberfest sounds, sights, dances, traditions and Alpine Horns for a fun day.
Bring your family and enjoy learning German dances, a photo booth, roaming accordionist, kettle corn, and street performers. Make great memories in Old Town Winchester!
