Dr. Geraldine Kiefer’s Introduction to Drawing and Composition class will be engaging in detailed pencil sketches and photographs of Handley Library on April 22 from 11:15 am to 1 pm. The class will meet in the library lobby at 11:15. Students in Dr. Kiefer’s class have been working on gesture and contour drawing, viewfinder-based figure-drawing composition, and photographic compositional techniques both with Dr. Kiefer and her guest instructors, Winchester artist Peter Stetler and Strasburg photographer George Hoffman.The Handley class will give them the opportunity to apply lessons learned and study the details of a fascinating early-twentieth-century building.
Dr. Kiefef welcomes community members to join her and her students as they discover, explore and convey the richness of Handley, a Winchester architectural treasure.
