The Bluemont Summer Concert Series continues this week with a performance by Robin & Linda Williams & Their Fine Group. The concert takes place on the steps of the 1840 Frederick County Court House at 7:30 PM this Friday.
Band Bio: Robin and Linda Williams are a renowned Virginia-based duo known for their rich harmonies and original songwriting. They are joined in concert by Their Fine Group—Jim Watson, a founding member of the Red Clay Ramblers, on bass and distinctive harmony vocals, and bluegrass veteran Jimmy Gaudreau on mandolin and mandola.
For more than a quarter of a century they have delighted audiences large and small with a blend of bluegrass, folk, old-time and acoustic country that truly merits the title of “American music.” They have appeared on The Grand Ole Opry, “Austin City Limits,” “A Prairie Home Companion,” “Mountain Stage,” “Music City Tonight,” and have performed at festivals, arts centers and concert halls, and in countless clubs and coffeehouses—not only across the U.S. but in Canada and Europe as well.
Admission: While there are no advance ticket sales, requested admission for the events is $5 per person, $4 for Bluemont Friends & Seniors, and $2 for kids under 12. Bluemont is also raising money to support their year-round projects in our local schools, nursing homes, and summer evenings.
