Happening This Weekend

First FridayFirst Friday: On the First Friday of every month, Old Town Winchester plays host to artists with special gallery events, muscians playing in restaurants and cafes, and many of our shops stay open late.  It is a great time to stroll our historic streets and a great place to meet new and favorite friends. Every month is something a little different.  First Fridays is sponsored by the Old Town Winchester Business Association, Shenandoah Arts Council, Virginia Commission of the Arts and the Old Town Development Board.  Check out the First Fridays in Old Town Winchester Facebook Page.

Shenandoah Arts CouncilArts Sale: The Shenandoah Arts Council will be celebrating First Friday with original art, prints and more on display! The works, which will be on display in their outdoor tent by BB&T Bank, will be on display and for sale.  Time: Early afternoon till 8 pm, weather permitting.

Drum Circle: The Blue Marble Drumming Circle will perform at the SAC Tent by the BB&T Bank, open to general public sitting in, too!  …BYOD (bring your own drum) or the leader will have instruments for folks to use.  Time: 6: 30 to 8 pm, weather permitting.

Walking TourGuided Civil War Walking Tour of Old Town Winchester:Experience the Civil War as a civilian in Old Town Winchester this Friday, June 7th with a special guided walking tour! Learn about the citizens and the events that took place in Winchester during that stirring period of time.

The tour begins at 6pm. Make your reservation by calling 540-542-1326, and meet your guide at 2 N. Cameron Street. $5.00 per person, payable to your guide.

Hop BlossomHop Blossom: On Saturday, June 8 from 12pm-6pm, the newly restructured Old Town Winchester walking mall will be the home of Winchester’s first craft beer festival. “Hop Blossom” will feature over 30 craft breweries and over 60 beers and ciders, both locally and from the East and West coasts. Attendees will enjoy live entertainment by Berryville’s Drymill Road and Richmond’s The Green Boys. Homebrewers can compete in The First Annual Hop Blossom Homebrew Competition.  Read more.
