June Divided plays the kind of rock the entire family can enjoy. They will be preceded by Dance for the Dying, a Washington, DC, synth-drive dance-rock quartet that is sure to bring audiences to their feet. Their distinct sound is reminiscent of the 80’s and 90’s Goth and pop, but they mix it with fast-paced rock rhythms. Warming up the crowd will be Swell Daze, a young and talented alternative rock band hailing from Purcellville, Va. The group will perform original songs as well as covering some great rock tunes.
Headlining the Cork Street parking lot is Everett Rae. Based in Nashville, Tenn., Rae, 20, is a rising pop country act that is sure to deliver a “party within a party.” Supporting Rae are The Judy Chops, an award winning Americana band from Staunton, Va., known for playing an assorted mix of original and cover tunes with elements of western swing, rock, jazz, blues, rock-a-billy, classic country and more. Opening up on the Cork Street parking lot is Lost Indian. Hailing from Staunton, Va., Lost Indian is a southern gothic, old-time bluesy country band that won First Place at Best Tune at 2011’s Appalachian String Band Music Festival.
