The Bluemont Summer Concert Series continues this Friday with a performance by The Taters. The concert takes place on the steps of the 1840 Frederick County Court House at 7:30 PM.
Band Bio: The Taters provide a truly entertaining mix of classic rock, pop, country, skiffle and old-time country rockabilly.
Craig Evans and Brad Tucker started singing together over two decades ago and have developed a wide repertoire, including songs by Roy Orbison, the Everly Brothers, Beatles, Nick Lowe, along with some originals, accompanying themselves on acoustic guitar, bass and drums. The Taters, originally the Burnt Taters, are a perennial Bluemont favorite.
Admission: While there are no advance ticket sales, requested admission for the events is $5 per person, $4 for Bluemont Friends & Seniors, and $2 for kids under 12. Bluemont is also raising money to support their year-round projects in our local schools, nursing homes, and summer evenings. To find out about donating or volunteering for the festival, visit the Bluemont website.
Inclement Weather: Summer weather can change quickly and is sometimes hard to predict. Always go to the outdoor concert site first; if the concert has moved, proceed to the nearby indoor site at First Presbyterian Church at 116 South Loudoun Street. Decision to move indoors will be posted at site and broadcast over local radio stations.
