The touring A Cappella Choir, Chamber Chorus, and Brass Ensemble of Lenoir-Rhyne University, Hickory, North Carolina, will perform at Grace Lutheran Church on March 14th at 7pm. The concert is free and open to the public, though donations are suggested.
Group Bio: The Lenoir-Rhyne University A Cappella Choir celebrates its 76th concert season this academic year. The choir has sung for the installation of two national Lutheran bishops, for mass at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis, and for the 2009 Lutheran unity service at the National Cathedral, Washington, D.C. In April of 2007 the choir gave its final spring concert in Blacksburg, Virginia, in remembrance of the first anniversary of the Virginia Tech massacre. The choir has taken eleven tours abroad, the most recent to Poland, the Czech Republic, and Germany in May 2011. The group performs under the direction of Dr. Paul Weber.
